I have no intention of limiting the types of motifs I choose for my photos, but I almost always seem to turn my eye to nature, and, thinking back, I have frequently ended up with water as my main subject. As I set out to prepare my images for this project, I decided that I would express my own take on the three states of water. I have not done anything special. I simply did what I had been doing for a long time. I may have changed over from film to digital, but this only means a change in devices and the expression has not changed at all. That is my way of doing things. I have no intention of giving long explanations about my work. I just want viewers to feel the images. And if what they feel is the same as what I tried to express or what I felt at the time the photo was taken, that would give me the greatest joy as a photographer. What can you see? What can you hear? How heavy does it feel? What is the atmosphere like? If each viewer is moved to look at such things, that is all it takes for an artist to be happy.
